Our story
Started in 1992 to solve a problem, not to build a business.
Swayamwar Marriage & Counselling Bureau was founded around 1992 by Smt. Dharmistaben Kirtikantbhai Nanavati, out of a straightforward observation: good families were struggling to find each other simply because the contacts weren't there.
She has spent the years since in social work — with Lion International, Sarvar Mandal and others — and still runs free legal aid for matrimonial disputes.
What the bureau earns goes through the S. M. Nanavati Public Charitable Trust: education and medical charities, and an old age home at Sola Bhagvat Vidyapith. That is the whole business model.
Everything about how people meet has changed since 1992. What they are looking for has not.
